It’s not acceptable for someone to defame an officer of any public company without cause and the company has every right to protect its reputation. That’s the law and @mattstambe has a responsibility to abide by it.
As a shareholder you and I are impacted by defamation of the CEO. We have no idea how many shareholders acted on his comments.
And in terms of time commitment it’s a 30 second phone call to their lawyers who will manage the process. It’s not like the board is spending time on this and calling emergency meetings. They’re focused on building the business as usual.
