Just wondering if one of our resident geos could advise on one of the readings on the PXF, that of the U (uranium) figure of 1173 ppm. Some quick research states:
Uranium in phosphate rock, which is used to produce fertilizer, can range as high as 400 ppm (parts per million). Some coal deposits contain uranium concentration levels as high as 1000 ppm. Concentrations in excess of greater than 750 ppm are usually considered ore, or rock economical to mine.
I realise its early days and it is only one sample from 3,700kms of potential, but is the reading concerning?
On the other side of the coin, BHP currently process $100 mil worth of u308 each year as by product from their (mainly) copper production at Olympic Dam, so it can be a big positive, not a negative if done right..
