My philosophy is mixing trading and investing is extremely dangerous need to commit to one or another when taking a position.
If you're taking a short term position to make a short term profit then yeah you need stops. If you are investing that means you like the business and you have committed to it. So if you find value then lower prices are even better. But need to be debt free , cash generative businesses with a bright future.
Can't mix the two imo - need to keep adding to investments imo its about the commitment.
