    We dont know what the economic costs or economic benefits of
    going green will be because that will be phased-in over 50years, IMO.

    So its merely speculation.

    The way that the US is going, the chances of a Nuke war in the interim is more likely than not.
    (see Graham Allison's "Destined for War")

    All I know now is that with my mix of Solar & Mains, my electric bill is 16c/kw while others in
    my suburb is paying 21c-22c-23c

    My car fuel doesn't worry me either because i only put up 12,000 kms P/A.

    If people want to travel 200 km/day...then that's their choice...eh?
    IMO there should be a tax deduction for living and working in the same suburb.
    Its the ultimate in going green and engendering a good sense of community.
