Using ABS data for 9 months to September 2023:



Interesting to note that age group 0-44 accounts for 58.7% of population but only 4.1% of deaths (ie. 95.9% of deaths come from the 41.3% of population older than 44!!!!

Converting those deaths to a death rate per million for those 9months of each year:
