I can't find much information about East Point asset management :
- created in January 21, as a spun out from Sun Hunk Kai (SHK),
- they received 150 m USD of seed funding from SHK of seed funding,
- I could not find their fees.
So, I suspect that a large part of their existing funds under management are still coming from SHK.
It could explain the rather low price of this acquisition, as they have probably mainly 1 customer, which may pay rather low fees as an institutional investor (the fees I indicated above are more for retail customers, for alternative investments).
