The Tincom deal is about securing a cheap (yes cleaner) coal/power for developing countries (mainly CHINA) over the next 50 YEARS. What Rudd does over the next 3 years is largley irrelevant to this deal. Tincom don't give a toss, they just want the coldry plant built so brown coal can be transported to their customers (and Tincom will pay for the plant!). It's just an export deal really

But yes, many investors/traders will only take a cursory glance at this stock and erroneously link it soley to the proposed AUST ETS, and that will surely impact on sentinment and therefore sp.
