Based on my back of the envelope calculations total royalties being paid by the company are about AUD 1.55b for a 12 month period.
Assuming current spot price of USD 370 per ton at AUD:USD of .7 which is circa AUD528 a ton which attracts an effective royalty rate of 27%. Or $141 per ton royalty multiplied by 11mt production = $1.55b
Based on the population of QLD of 5.8 million that is $267 per person of over $1,000 for a family of four. Just for one coal company....
