I thought I had posted on this earlier but can't find it.
MIN are around 40% today.
They have gained 20% from the start of the takeover. I am surprised they have received that many acceptances.
They have been very aggressive in contacting shareholders, which has probably led to a lot of the acceptances.
While the BOD recommended the takeover offer, I consider this a hostile takeover from the shareholders perspective.
As such, the take-up is normally at the end of the offer period, the last day or two.
The 2oth is next Monday, giving a lot of mum and dads (and less sophisticated investors and/or those not on HC with more limited information) the weekend to talk about whether or not to accept the offer.
For many people, the main piece of advice they have seen is the Directors recommending the revised offer.
People tend to leave harder decisions to the last minute.
Many will then accept later on Monday IMO.
I think its 50/50 on whether MIN get 50% or not
Just based on my experience, may happen here or may not.
Regardless, I will continue to hold and wait at least until drilling/3D is completed.
I don't care if MIN has 50%
All my conjecture, DYOR.
