Year 8-9 students get taught how to critically analyse what they read and hear

If you are simply a blind puppet who believes everything what they hear & regurgitates it, you won't get far with anything in life

My opinion won't change regardless what DD says in April. Like Everything I hear, I will absorb what they announce, read between the lines, conduct further research, compare it to other peers

All of the above allows 1 to formulate their own opinion, not just regurgitate info
