Two one in a hundred year storms in two weeks!

Auckland was windy and wet, but the East Coast included the Coromandel and the Gisborne area took the brunt of it. Lot of damage and potential loss of life down there, nobody knows the full extent yet as there is little access, no power, no internet, and no cellphone coverage in many areas. Best wishes to all down there.

The West Coast of Auckland also took a hammering, I’ve got mates out at Piha and Muriwai and it looks like a war zone out there. The suns out today for the majority of the northern hit areas so let’s hope the rescue teams can get into some of the hardest hit areas.

Thanks for all the kind thoughts team. The only benefit from such a wet summer is I haven’t had to top up the pool once!
