After promising to address housing affordability in his election campaign, Rudd setup a 2008 Senate Select Committee on Housing Affordability of which none of the recommendations were implemented. In 2009 Rudd government stoked demand with doubling grants, loosing FIRB etc. Then in the same term now in 2010, wants another "review" to see why adding demand does not increase affordability.
