Not really, for the simple reason that the world is awash with people who have for many years been calling the property market to get its comeuppance. He happens to have been the one still standing when it finally happened.
Perhaps 'in the world', but hardly in Australia.
I don't want to veer OT for too long, but very few in Oz predicted this. Can you name locals of standing (such as bank economists) who agreed with Mr Joye's prediction, and haven't just done so in the last few weeks?
