Look I've been involved in financial markets for a very very long time, and invariably it's a transfer of wealth from the have nots to the haves.
Every cycle there is the new "hero sector "
They are invariably run by movers and shakers looking to get rich.
It always ends the same way with Directors retiring to their Carribean Islands with luxury villas and yachts and poor hapless retail punters left ruing their losses.
its always was and always will be a transfer of wealth as invariably selling a "story" not a viable business.
BNPL never was and never will be anything but a "story "
