Haha not sure if age has anything to do with getting cash sooner than later. Pretty sure all of us wants the cash now but these things can't be rushed - great things don't grow overnight. It's never just about the destination but the journey itselfIf our asset is great, and the market undervalues it, then a bid (or more) will no doubt come sooner than later especially against the backdrop of basin consolidation. I can think of many potential suitors, but who knows how many will actually bid once an initial bid is launched?
Hancock, Stokes and Ellison are the most obvious candidates, but the problems experienced by the likes of WDS and STO in their portfolio, it shouldn't come as a surprise if they are to enter. I've always thought WES CEF is an amazingly natural fit with STX and WES is flushed with cash too, though Rob Scott isn't one to dish out cash for nothing.
