A major point that I gathered from this analyst briefing was that Mr Reeves doesn't believe inflation is moderating.
This is not what gormless Federal Labor Treasurer "Grim Jim" Chalmers is claiming.
Nor is it what under pressure Reserve Bank Governor Philip Lowe says.
Inflation is measured using a basket of goods developed by the ABS but on balance, I agree with Ingham's CEO. Cost pressures aren't just at the supermarket. So many goods and importantly, services, are rising in cost to consumers (and other businesses, like ING!)
