Can someone please help me make sense of this consolidation for tax implications. I'm looking at offsetting some gains this year with losses but as this is my first ever consolidation I'm lost.
i originally had 500k shares which I spent $20k to get. After the consolidation I have 10k shares which can be sold for $7650 as it stands.
Does this mean I can claim a loss of $12,350? Cheers for any advice!
