So I am the Newsagent, and a company owes me $500 for newspapers, bought over the last 6 months on account.

I send my debt to the debt collector, and the company has a choice, pay the $500 or the Court orders begin.
Guess what the company will probably pay the $500.
You can be wound up for $500 just as easily as $50M

If you are owed a lot of money, yes you will probably wait and hope that the company can trade out of trouble.
Because you know if you liquidate, you will end up with zip.

Problem for the company, if you pay the $500 to the Newsagent, that is seen as a preferential payment, and could leave the directors in a lot of hot water.

Its clear MAE have not paid their suppliers for months, so what new work can they possibly perform?

Would you work for them as a contractor?
Right now who would take the financial risk?

    Are they really doing anything????
If so how are they getting paid?

    The Quarterly will be interesting.

    The directors are jumping ship.

Once that happens its normally close to the end.

I think that pretty much explains where this is going.
