That's where you have misunderstood my friend. Mercedes and Prophesee will use the current software based edge AI from Snapdragon for the first set of rudimentary edge AI functions, which will be the stepping stone for Snapdragon to acquire a neural network into its stacked architecture for the next generation edge AI processing.
I'm not saying Snapdragon will definitely choose Akida's SNN but it sure is the only neural network available as an IP currently.
Plus when Snapdragon sees the ASIC chips from Renesas, Megachips, Socionext, SiFive etc...with Akida, it will want to change from the software based edge AI platform. So Snapdragon is not a competitor of Brainchip...its a potential partner.
