As 'HC' contributor plough sagaciously points out, there's the risk that Mr Kim Lindsay may sell some or all of his holding post-retirement.

Sometimes this occurs in a large 'line' with perhaps a five per cent or greater discount. I am not the expert but from observation, it tends to send the general SP plummeting.

Mr Lindsay is as entitled as us to sell his holding when he chooses (subject to blackout periods when he's an officer or on the Board).

Two JLG Directors sold millions of dollars of that company's shares in recent months.

Initially the SP declined but today when results were issued, last I checked it was up 16.25 per cent.

So performance of the company may in the medium term win out, but what plough refers to is a short term risk and one that may come upon us with zero warning.
