hhhhhhhmmmmm do phones need batteries, do drones need batteries, do laptops need batteries, kids toys, tv remotes, tools. Just to name a few off the top of my head.
somehow I dont think we will stop communicating via phones if a recession happens or completely stop construction projects which require tradies with tools.
again this is a few applications of batteries. An expert would have a much larger list.
but hey winter is coming blah blah blah….
