Since the beginning of covid my personal contacts have thought my position as to how serious a novel coronavirus could be was underwhelming.

Most (I believe) thought that there was a valid concern that the Rona must’ve been pretty hard core and that our government/health officials were taking our best interests at heart.

I don’t believe that I changed a single person’s mind in regards to complying with “Government Suggestions”, I didn’t even try to convince my wife when she asked me if she should book me in for a Jab (I politely declined, suggested that she talk about it with some of her friends and once she’d done that I would give an explanation of my position).
She spoke to 4 friends of which 3 quoted the morning news and one was an out there conspiracy nut.
They all were yoga types whom she respected and when she gave me a rundown on what she had learnt, I was surprised that she thought the conspiracy nut was more credible.

My personal contacts, friends and acquaintances all did what they thought best and not one of them has ever suggested that my opinion stopped them from getting the jab.
Although many of them have made comments that they are less confident in their choices today.

Perhaps it has something to do with an increase in coincidences, personal health issues or sudden and unexpected deaths in their close family groups?

The only people who have the ability to impact health policy are our elected officials.
It takes a certain kind of stupid to stand up and question or even imply that the agreed upon position of the leading party’s regarding the best interests of the country might be a big mistake.
Thankfully we have a few elected officials who are willing to pick at the scab, pointing out inconsistencies in the narratives and the like.
These elected officials are not stupid people but they are certainly stupid politicians in my opinion, normal politicians only commit to things that maintain/improve reelection numbers.

The only way we will get the truth is if the people’s representatives ask the right questions and the proper process of government is followed.

In my opinion, we are just starting to see the complacent beginning to think, thinking generally leads to questions and questions that are answered inadequately become more obvious. Even to the complacent types.

PS If a person suggests that the novel treatments are needed I only ask them 2 questions.
Is it effective in stopping one from catching it and two is it effective in reducing one passing it on?
Regardless of the potential for any other possible adverse issues, this new technology is piss poor in hitting the stated reasons for being.
Haven’t heard a good explanation from a single person as to why the jab should be taken if it doesn’t stop an individual from catching/passing on a cold.
