I may be a bit conservative regarding the next dividend. I just looked at the last dividend payment and it was paid out of free cash flow not net profit after tax. Basically $USD2.6 B in fee cash flow x 80% pay out ratio / 1.9 b shares = $1.09 USD per share for the interim dividend.
The $2.6 b USD in free cash flow only included 1 quarter of the bhp assets?
So if they keep the same payout ratio. They should at least match the previous dividend.
