Range Resources did not spud a well in Soamaila, they did not declare a dividend and they did not even manage to bring home a Logie last night.

All facts, but hardly surprising. Hence no real need to state them. Just as RRS, being an exploration company raising money via a rights issue is hardly surprising. The only other method an exploration company has to raise money is via a placement to parties other than the shareholders.

As I recall Range had offers from Old Park Lane for many more shares than they ultimately took.
However Range offered its shareholders a chance to get in on the action, even though it must have been more problematic to organise.

I don't know about you and other shareholders, but with the SP at 6.5c I am very happy to have participated in the rights issue at 5c.

To drarthur - well done if you have made profits exceeding 90%. That's pretty good trading.
