Has the craftmanship and quality of new homes suffered during the housing boom of the last 10 years?
Where i live,
Carnegie. About 10km's south/east of Melbourne.
We have two new townhouses being built side by side on a vacant block next door to ours.
I've never seen so much foam and plastic and bog on a house, the tradesman building these properties literally ride in on horseback in the morning's with a tool belt and spurs.
I actually fear a strong wind as there's a fair chance they're upstairs bedroom may end up in my backyard. And to think someone's about to pay a million bucks for one of these.
I struggle to see the value. Are we so caught up in the monetary gain that we sacrifice the quality of the product we're living/investing in?
