solar power taxable ?, page-19

Well I travelled around australia for 5yrs in a motorhome which was solely powered by 8 x 64watt solar panels which feed into a bank of batteries (approx 1200amp hour storage). Not once in the 5yrs of travel did we need to connect to the mains power for electricity, also if your asking, no we never had a generator either. The panels back in '99 were $499, so it was a cheap $4,000!

Solar is the way to go, especially if motorhoming around oz!
