    re: Ann: Newcrest and LGL Enter into Merger I... LGL should be more valuable and NCM less valuable post the Rudd/Swan 40% tax grab as LGL's assets are substantially overseas and NCM's assets are substantially within Australia and within reach of Canberra.

    I thought LGL could have gotten a better deal. Remember the offer price will go down with the NCM share price.
