I simply don't like this whole idea of "shorting" a stock because the true and real investors that believe in the company and have invested hard earned money are long term investors. Shorting just provides the manipulators and cashed up funds to create doubt and fear amongst us retail investors and allows them to play the game for their own advantage.
I believe there is a bigger game in play in Lithium sector at the moment where the big institutions are tasked to crush the retail confidence by heavily shorting Lithium stocks and capping the share price. From the rapidly falling China spot price to all bad press being spread by the media while the EV demand, growth and sales is rapidly increasing does not add up.
It appears that some big entities are trying hard to stop Lithium from rising higher. Why? Well, it could be because the cashed up oil companies want to slow down the EV sales in an attempt to extend their life or perhaps take stake in Lithium companies for cheaper. It could be the Chinese or another body trying hard to make it cheaper to take positions on Lithium companies or simply the GS and the likes are trying to manipulate the price to buy in cheaper. Whatever the reason is, it is clear that the manipulators are aggressive in broad day light.
The shorters that have placed a small bet in AGY may know more than us (I doubt it) or perhaps don't know the difference between us and other companies, mostly the one following the DLE path. In fact it doesn't really matter why they are shorting us. AGY has it's own process and conventional method to extract Lithium, and has produced and sold tons and tons of BG quality Lithium that is still sold at circa USD $70K/ton, and we are about to start producing 2000 tons per annum.
AGY is about to transform into a Lithium producer and has the most anticipated announcements to be released this month or the next (if delays) as per company milestones. Once our 2000tpa plant is commissioned, continuous production of BG quality Lithium starts and the approval of 10,000 tons per annum EIA approval and associated offtake and funding arrangements are finalised and announced within this month or the next, AGY will go to the next level.
