Today Mr Chalmers said he did not plan to index the $3 million. That means more and more people
will be affected as peoples balances grow and as small business owners sell and retire , or farmers . There will be so many unintended consequences.
It is almost certain that they will also be looking at negative gearing and capital gains tax discounts and anywhere else they can tax .

And the housing downsize contribution scheme will take a big hit- many will consider going the other way, withdraw super to get under the $3M cap and invest in a more expensive , capital gains free, primary residence
