if resource tax is so bad, and if the Liberals believd it is bad, why didn't the Howard government out priciple first and revolved that tax introduced by the Hawke government ? The reason is because it was not a bad tax, of course the petroleum industry as expected would have screamed murder out of self interest as it would want to maximize profits for itself, just as the mining industry is doing now.
