Wow what a surprise that a hedge fund that is short SBM, long GMD would want to talk SBM down.
Fact is RF isn't walking from the deal. He isn't buying the bloody thing for Atlantic. GMD shareholders end up owning 41% of 20% of Atlantic through Phoenician (that's 8% for those that can't do math).
Touquay was going to process low grade stockpiles over FY24. Net cash change from stripping this gold out vs dropping operating expenses materially isn't going to be sheep stations given AISC would have been very high.
