Though I would like to keep the general email confidential I simply asked him if he was likely to make a market comment to his share holders on the general sentiment of the 40% tax and to the ASX on the swift fall in perceived value of a quality stock such as BRM.
WR was swift and polite and to the point about challenging the tax alongside the rest of the mining industry and that like me he felt that BRM was being unjustly punished. Its all about letting the general doom and gloom pass and getting on with the business of making the project a success. True leadership comes from people who take up unpopular position and lead through good and bad times.
