But if I used that logic with PLL and SYA (where PLL owns ~14% of equity of SYA and a has a JV with them as well), then PLL "owns" SYA.
Geely owns just under 10% of Daimler AG, the parent of Mercedes. Another Chinese investor also owns just under 10% of Daimler.
Geely owns 100% of Volvo car unit (but not trucks).
I agree with what I think your point was ... China wants full control of the ENTIRE supply chain for "transportation solutions".
It wont be fun and it aint a game ... and play has begun. 1st set? 1st innings? 1st Quarter?, 1st Half? The game has definitely started though.
