I be sensing the sentiment is changing somewhat to the positive......my gut is telling me the low is in at 53.5.....unfortunately I have a truck or two I could back up and fill, but my portfolio rules I would be a breakin' ; as ARU even at 55c is making up 26% of my multi m portfolio, where's Warren B when you need him to whisper in your ear !!
Maybe as @Teddybear123 stated, waiting for funding announcement maybe the go, again my gut is telling me that all 3 announcements are a certainty (but when ??) GE Renewables binding Offtake for 1500 tonnes, Commercial Funding and Strategic Equity along with FID. I couldn't see ARU commence early works/procure longlead items without near certainty of all 3 announcements soon.
Musk is a dreamer, and the world needs dreamers and explorers, and yes one day we may see motors with little/no REs, but my research says that the Nd magnets are magnitudes more efficient than anything alse that without them the "range anxiety" we all fear with EVs, would be a definite with the current sized battery packs. I just can't see EV makers opting for non-RE magnets and having to upsize their battery packs close to 50% in order to provide the range buyers expect with a new EV. The extra weight alone diminishes the range an EV can achieve, not to mention the damage to infrastructure/roads the heavier EV will cause (extra Road Tax anyone ?)

PS if it drops to under 50c I will be buying in order to get my % holding rebalanced up to 25%
