if the bible is the word of God and word perfect why the hell did he make so much of it so that it could be interpreted in different ways (ie not perfect).
As a simply example, when God says "you shall not worship any God other than me" why did he simply not say "I am the ONLY God and there is no other God" wouldn't that have been simpler?? Or do Christians just ignore the errors and omit the bits that they don't want to believe in??
Also, about the comments that if we evolved from monkeys why do monkeys still exist. To dumb it right down, how about this example.
You do know that humans use evolutionary principles to our benefit don't you?? Like you know that to get faster and faster race horses we breed the appropraite parents (I am sure you ubnderstand that if we want fast race horses then we don't breed the slow little ones, expecting their offspring to be champions). Humans do this with everything - every species of dog, food crops etc have been selectively 'evolved' (ie higher yielding crops and better fruit, nicer flowers).
Surely you believe that all of these things exist??? And if you do, then don't you believe that you can actually see evolution in action over the centruries (go on the internet and read about the breeding of Australian Marino sheep that did not even exist 200 years ago..... or the red cattle dog, or curent rice and wheat varieties).
Now, back to my horses...
Over the centuries we have selectively 'evolved' horses to run faster and faster. Horses, through the selective breeding are now taller, have longer legs, larger chests and a larger gait etc.
By your argument I could say - why do we still have slow horses in the world??!!
