Do you know that 97% of all 2008 tax returns have been lodged? That is the highest amount since the amnesty year of 1988. Considering over 22% of all returns are payable and not refunds, it makes the figure more extraordinary. Considering that in past years the highest rates have been less than 80% of lodgements.

I am a tax agent. I get this info from the ATO through a relationship manager on request. Its not info that is rattled of over the phone to the public. Get your tax agent to verify it for you.
