You make no comment about the longs here that migth want to buy more should this fall in our favour. I myself will take out a few of the average sellers you measured above in that instance. Im sure others will too.

That and the shorts having to cover, might well be a feeding frenzy at a higher price, and will ultimately result in a loss for those short, unless then managed to put the money to work elsewhere and make enough to cover the difference and holding costs, then they may get out unscathed.

Time will tell.
