too hard to call, too many variables


on past performance you would expect a drop on open and rebound late morning - but this time may well be different.

Gold is up this time - last time I think it went down. It is also up in all currencies - that's different this time I think.

cw might be right about a floor at 3 ----- but it's too hard to pick --------- at 3 cents if gold in Au$ is getting up around $1500 - the sp is going to look pretty silly?

Isn't this an ace opportunity for K Rudd to back out of the super tax if he has twigged that it might not be a winner?

The problem is also that the o's situation might not stop here - god knows where markets will go.

I would expect the dow futures to be green this afternoon - but by tomorrow morning that might mean nothing either.
