you are forgetting on thing. They actually dont need to compete with the big end of town. We were already with Xero, no chance we would have even looked around if it just worked. Instead, we had to run a huge project to migrate our data to a new system and now they are getting our dollars. It left a bad taste in my mouth tbh, it worked perfectly for 199 staff but doesnt work at all for 201? come on.
Xro is an amazing product, we love it for finance, but I feel their biggest opportunity is actually their current customers. Its a lot cheaper and easier to sell to your current customers than to acquire new ones. If I was ceo Id focus on this. Scale the payroll to grow with the customer, fix Xero project (dogs breakfast), bring out a timesheet solution (easy) etc. We shouldnt have to have 50 third party apps plugged into Xro when they could easily do it themselves and more than double their revenue per customer.
