Have you never heard of “Potential Investors” which I could possibly be if there was a change BoDs! One can still continue to follow stocks even though one may have sold out as the fundamentals (i.e. change of BoDs, new MD etc) of the company direction could change and could attract new investors so you don’t need to be holding to comment on stocks. A non holder can suddenly become a holder if they see the change they are looking for based on their investment strategy!
