Off course he is shattered, it is dawning on him what he has done.
He has just effectively handed the Prime Ministership to either Gillard or Abbott.
And as he was on TV skiting how he picked a fight with the big boys of mining and won't back down, he has painted himself into a corner.
And the good news is either GILLARD or ABBOTT will make a far better Prime Minister anyway.
