The drought in Chile has caused the government there to stop copper mining and preserve what water they have for humans and farming.
That’s fairly old news but if they haven’t yet cranked up out of care and maintenance there will be a lag.
Even so there will still be a shortage.
The Cu needed to provide cable to connect everything is going to be difficult to come up with in the timeframe government would like.
