as you know I sold all my longs a couple of Thursdays ago, except for some basic keepers.

Essentially if the EMA8 on the index is above the ema34, I will be 75% long and 25% short. The reverse applies if EMA8 < EMA34.

I only short things which my entry technique tells me I should short, and I only go long on things the entry technique lets me go long on.

The exit rules eliminate the losing trades early. The winning trades go on to compensate for the losers.

The balance rules guard me against sudden market turns when I have not been paying enough attention to Voltaires posts.

Yesterday I added 3 longs to equity positions, in equities that I like the look of, and where they have hit a line and I am backing them to find support. one of them I was adding back 10% of a long position I had sold, but only as a potential bounce trade.

one of the longs was SDL @ 13 (Pencilin).
