It is a sad day when a reasonable percentage of the population believe that someone else should do the hard yards so they can benefit.The fact that some profits from these enterprises move offshore is a double edged sword,Both Labs and Libs are guilty of selling out to foreign companies,however without their investment many mines would never see the light of day. We live in a great country and opportunities exist for those that are willing,if you want your share of Australias resources do something about (its called working hard or smart)dont expect it to be handed to you. I have no problem with making miners pay a bit extra but what Rudd and Swan are proposing is criminal.Calling a "Super Profit" anything over the bond rate is a farce,The current Governments record with money is poor at best,if they con the populace into this one the effects may be felt for a rather long time.
