Statsman . like you I had never voted for the Libs and neither had my extended family .At last count this morning with family , Rudd and Labor have lost 15 votes from my family and amongst my circle of friends he has lost another 12 votes .......so from my mob alone he is now down 27 votes .I hope that percentage is widespread throughout Australia . I firmly believe he and Labor have shot themselves in both feet amongst thinking Australians ........my concern is that he will call a quick election to capitalize on his largesse to his logic challenged followers in the coming budget and with his " battler v's the rich" rhetoric may pull off a win ....... my hope is that whilst he may retain those logic challenged persons, he had their vote last time anyway and that there will be sufficient thinking persons who PREVIOUSLY voted Labor in enough marginal electorates to deliver victory to commonsense and the Liberal Party
