The biggest issue in that part of QLD is the road transport and rail network.
Most mines can continue operating, even on a reduced basis, through significant rain events.
What stops you is the delivery of consumables and personnel, and if you've done your wet season planning, you normally carry additional consumables for such events.
Metal shipments simply just get delayed until the roads open to heavy transport, which takes about a week or 2, depending on how bad they are.
