By all means the west should provide technological assistance to the Taiwanese as they've done in thwarting the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Where Australia's national interest lies in going to war with China because the Americans have a treaty obligation hasn't been explained to the Australian public. Anyone here signing up to fight it?

US does not commit troops to Ukraine even though Ukraine is a sovereign nation, yet US is willing to commit troops to Taiwan even though US does not recognise Taiwan as a country. Ever wonder why?
