I remember checking topography before my initial investment, my thoughts were it's a regional high area, with creeks flowing away from Ardmore area, therefore unlikely to flood much.

I think the market is simply killing all small miners and explorers except for gold. As was my concern at the start of the year, just early. Personally I'm only holding bonds until interest rates start dropping again.
