My original post was to knob jockey who said people are still willing to sell at a lower price to MIN. to which i replied No they are not as the offer is still the same 1300-1 And to add to that if you did swap today your CGT would be less so in therory your in front as less CGT to be paid. You still hold the same amount of MIN shares. Not only did those that took the offer up first when min where @ $96 have seen there investment crash to $80 per share there CGT liability is based on there date of acceptance $96. Not a real win in my books. People who are or could be buying in now and selling to Min are still only making the same value per share as those that traded 4 weeks ago. not worse off. His post was bunkum and one sided.
