Just looking at the chart it did pretty well around in the GFC, if we have a repeat of GFC situation, where gold rerated x2, gold could go above $3000 USD. Hesistant to buy it in the high 1900s though, as I figure it could go either way from here in the short term, if things get real nasty it could be heading to 2500-3000+, but it may pop back down to 1800s before then, I think it's unlikely it drops 25% anytime soon, reckon it's a way safer bet than crypto though.
